Are you Worthy..? Worthy to receive God’s Love, His Grace & Mercy that’s been continuously showered upon us…..? Yes, the answer is clearly we are NOT, we are unworthy. But the point to be made is, how often are we asking this question to ourselves…? How often we remind ourself that it’s because of God’s faithfulness that we are what we are. Have you questioned yourself to reflect how blessed we are…?
In today’s fast, busy, self-centered world, Is it important to question our worthiness…? The answer is definitely YES. We need to often question this and pounder about the true facts and realities that are going around us and reflect how God has preserved you and is leading you in this uncertain, chaiotic world.
Why, and how important is it to reflect our worthiness? It is very important because it starts reflecting our ‘Humbleness’ before God. It inturn starts the process of Thanksgiving to the Lord. Let me give you a real life illustration.
If I happen to see a poor person or a begger or a person with disability, my heart\mind starts thinking and speculating, what If I was put in their position or circumstances…? would I have still remained faithful to You God…? Would I still give thanks and praise and glorified your name…? I than tend to remember that it’s because of His unmerited Grace and Mercy that my present circumstances of life is good. It just makes me praise Him and pray “O God, please continue to shower you grace and mercy on me and my family. I know I am week and full of lustful ways. I am not worthy of what you have already blessed me with, but I want to Thank you God. If I was in the circumstances of what the other person is in, may be I would have not been as good or faithful as he is in that situation. Thank you abba Father…”
So the gist is, We are unworthy but God is worthy of our Praises and Thanksgiving. For God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. So let’s give Thanks to the Lord, for He is the Faithful one and who is worthy of our Praises. Let’s make it a point to remember our unworthiness and God’s faithfulness daily and continuingly as this will help in humbling ourselves and get rid of any pride we take.
