It’s very unfortunate that we all overlook the provisions of God in our life. We tend to miss them, we tend to ignore them, we tend to not see them, and we tend to not recognize them…
Most of the Gods blessings and provisions in our life are very intrinsic in nature… It’s so much infused in our daily life, that it looks very natural & casual. It is only when you pounder and think, that’s when its true nature and the blessing of God that Is hidden is reviled…. indeed its written: “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings (or man) is to search out a matter” Prov 25:2
Moses while giving his last speech & instructions to the Israelites in Deut 8:4 reminds that for 40 years they wandered in the forest, “yet Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years”
Their foot did not swell, not because the Israelites were very strong and durable men & women. No, not at all… Moses is reminding that It was the Blessing of the lord.
Their clothes did not tear, not because they had strong branded clothes… No, it was because of Gods provision & blessings that was intrinsically present. He provisioned his blessings so intrinsically that the Israelites had missed it, It was Moses who recognized this blessing was from the lord.
I have experienced His provisions and Blessings in my Family life, in my professional life, In my spiritual and it goes on. It would not be possible to testify and write each of my experience on this post, but would like to give few examples as my testimony.
We all know how hard it’s to run a family with two growing kids and manage the finances. Its more common for both the parents work to meet the needs of the family in this 20th century. Well in my case, my parents were never salaried people. My mom was a house wife and my dad looked after our agriculture land in our native. We never got much out of our agriculture land because various problems like water scarcity, labor problems, etc etc.
I still remember our childhood summer holidays which we used to spend in our native, and at the end of our holidays, our schools would re-open for the new academic year by 1st June. I and my brother never in our school life time were able to make it to school on the opening day. We used to join school usually 15 to 20 days later, and at many times 1 month later. I guess I and my brother were the ones with lowest attendanceJ. I remember we had to collect all the backlog lessons completed from our friends and at times get immediately ready for the exams.
Any guesses as to Why all this delay… ? Well, my parents had to arrange the required amount to meet out travelling expenses back from our native, our school admission/tuition fees, our expenses for new books, school uniform, etc etc. My father used to somehow try to arrange the minimum amount and take back us to the city where we did our schooling, make all the required arrangements and then travel back to native.
Now in all this short comings we had, Gods provisions were perfected to fulfill our day-to-day needs in these short comings. Never did I and my brother face any resistance from the school, never did we failed any class in spite of missing many classes. We never had enough money but, never did my family sleep empty stomach and there was always more than sufficient food at home. We never even thought of buying a simple dress for Birthdays or Christmas, yet our cupboards were full of dresses. We stayed in an old mud house, which had no flooring No toilet, leaky roof, mosquitos and all type of insects & snakes creeping around yet we were kept safe, never harmed nor did we fell serious sick and went to hospitals….. I can go on and on with this list, but the question to be asked is, How? How did we lack nothing & were safe, even when we had lack of money and other basic needs? That’s the beauty of Gods provision & His blessings.
Is it not a privilege to be provided and taken care by the Master of all the Universe, our Abba Father? Is it not better to rely on His grace and Mercy rather than our own works.
