Perception vs Perspectives vs Reality of God & Religion.

To start with, we clearly need to understand the difference between the words Perception, Perspective & Reality.

Perception: Is what you interpret. It’s your understanding of a given situation, person, or object. It’s the meaning you assign to any given stimulus.

Perspective: Is your point of view. It’s the lens you see the world through and determine how you view yourself, others, and everything else around you.

Reality: Is the truth and the actual existence of something. Or Reality is something that has been existent from the past till now.

Each individual have their own perspective and Perception towards things, towards situations, etc, etc… and the same is true when it comes to knowing God & Religion. So how do you decide who is correct? How do you say what is correct? and what is wrong…?

The most important thing to make a note is that both Perspective and Perception are self or human defined or proclaimed which may be based on various inputs one has been exposed to over the time. Hence it’s very human in nature. So both Perception and perspective happen to be diluted and are far from the actual truth or reality.

Except one, all God’s of this present time are the outcome of someone’s perspective and Perception in the past. As humans developed their thought process over the time they perceived God in their own image. The things they saw, the things that were created and we’re around them became God’s. They started to visualize and wrote mythologyical stories about God’s. And thus we see so many idols hand made and worshipped as God even to this time.

Reality by definition is “The Truth” that has existence from the past till now. When it comes to God. To know the actual truth, you need to keep your own views/Perspective/perception aside. Unless and until you remove the sunglasses off your eyes, you will fail to see the true colors of the nature around you. Similarly we need to keep our views aside and than start analysing the truth.

Just because there are millions of people, hundred of different human race and culture, dosent mean there are hundreds of different God’s. It’s Just simple common sense, yet millions of them don’t get this simple understanding. If anyone is really interested in knowing the Truth, they need to make a genuine effort to find the truth.

So what’s the reality than, how do we know the true God…?

The Bible gives the answer….. There is only one God ( 1Corth 8:6) , He has no name or form, He is Sprit (John 4:24). In Exodus 3:14, Moses asks what he is to say to the Israelites when they ask what God [‘Elohiym] has sent him to them, and YHWH replies, “I am who I am“, adding, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I am has sent me to you.'”

But why believe in Bible..? How do you know it’s the Truth? How is it different from other religious books?

I have personal gone through and have 2 of the major other religious writing. The very first and distinctive difference which I have observed is that they are very human in nature. As you explore the texts in deep you can see human fingerprints in the writing. You can clearly make out human views/perspectives in the writings. You cannot see any divine intervention. God is no Human, so how can you believe in some writing that shows God as Human?

Bible, in this case is very distinctive. If you study the Bible, you can clearly see the fingerprints of God. Bible is not a mythologyical story book, but a book of facts, a book of human history and how God deals with sin & humans. Infact the very existence of nation Israel proves the Bible to be true as The Bible is nothing but the detailed history of Israel and God’s planned salvation for the world through Jesus Christ.

Bible is not a single book, it has 66 books. It’s not written by one person in his/her own perspective or perception, but written by 40 authors from different walks of life spread across continents. Reffer to the below link to see how wonderful and divine Bible is.

To conclude, please let not your or others personal view/perspectives/perception influence your religious believe and your search for the Truth. Let not your culture or family determine what God you believe. If you don’t question and make a genuine effort to find the truth, than it’s likely you are living in deception.
