It’s a busy world, yet everyone in the world is more connected than anytime in Human History, yet more disconnected to each other. As I was getting fresh this morning, and as random thoughts were flowing, I suddenly got the heading of this article in my mind. Hear are some of the thoughts I would like to share.
When God created Man, one of the prime purpose was to have a relationship and fellowship. In-fact Adam and Eve had this privilege of fellowship with their Creator for what ever time, until Sin entered. “And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day…” Gen 3:8. Do you get that picture, this verse clearly shows the relationship and fellowship God intended to have. Can you imagine, God your Creator walking in the Garden and calling by your name, “where art thou….” Our minds cannot even comprehend what it was like.
One of the most important aspect of building any relationship is Talking. You just start talking and talking and vent out your hearts and start sharing things. I still remember meeting this girl (now my wife) at her home with all the family elders. This was starting of a relationship. Within few days we slowly started talking. As days passed, we started talking more and more eventually sharing and understanding each other. I remember talking for hours in a day, skipping our sleep, talking in the middle of my office Job and even at times showing and making my fiance see my office work, all because by now this talking had transformed into Trust & Faith.
One of the prime reason for Jesus Christ to come into this world was to re-establish that broken relationship. The relationship that God our Father, our creator had in the Garden of Eden was established at the Cross. So now the broken path has been restored for us, so that we can have fellowship and relationship with our creator and come closer to Him. You now need of NO mediator except Christ and I strongly believe, God wants us to talk to Him regularly, personally as plain as it can be, Just as a friend talking to a friend.
But these day’s, it’s so unfortunate to see most of us don’t seem to be serious about this priceless relationship. Many so called Christian’s see God/Christ as a distant person. In fact many of us have known God just as another God and not as our Father and a Friend. Many of the Christian’s are not making any effort to come in close communion with their Creator. All this because we have stopped talking, stopped having conversation with our creator. It’s only when you start talking, you start building a relationship and eventually build Faith, Trust, etc.. etc..
Now, when I mention talking, I am nowhere relating it to Prayer. Yes, Prayer is a important part of our relationship with God. But, when I say “Talking & walking with Your Creator”, it goes much & much deeper than Just Prayer. Talking and walking and sharing is a continuous process and most of the time it’s an inward process. It’s a process where your Mind and Heart is continuously tuned to God’s frequency. It’s the next level of spiritual maturity.
Many of today’s Christian’s and especially the younger generation are failing to seek and talk to their Creator and thus failing to have a fellowship with God. There is so much of distraction around us, that we are failing to look to Our Creator and talk to Him. In fact Satan’s most important strategy is to keep us distracted so that our Talking/Walking and fellowship/relationship with God is not established.
Let’s be vigilant and let us not fool around God and our-self by thinking that, going to Church, singing songs, making long prayers, will make us a friend with Christ/God. No, nor does miracles, prophecy, tongues, healing will establish your fellowship in God. No, we need to make sure we are continuously tuned to our Creator and start talking and walking and Listening and sharing and reading the word of God. Its a continuous process of conviction & realization & correction.
Let me give an illustration. I have seen people making best prayers that I have heard of with tears and crying. I know devote people in Churches and ministries. Yet their post prayer or Church life is just as a worldly living with NO realization or understanding. They seem to be connected to God with full spiritualness when they are at prayer or in the church/ministry. But once they are done with prayer or church/ministry they simply just get disconnected from God and get connected to the world.
The Bible says, Enoch walked with God, and He was no more for God took Him. Abraham had such a relationship, that He was called friend of God. Moses talked to God, as a friend talks face to face. David, a Man after God’s Heart and His deep conversations can be seen in His every Psalms. All the great personalities of the Bible Talked to their Creator and Walked in His ways and Heeded to His Voice.
I personally share everything and there is nothing I hide with my Creator who also is my Father and a Friend. I may hide things with my closest family but cannot hide or stop taking about it to my creator. So make friendship with our Creator, with Christ and start sharing your worries, your fears, your happiness, your Joy. Share with Him, what you like and ask if it is in His will. You can share everything, weather good or bad, your likes and dislikes, your sins and temptations, your personal or non-personal things.
Lets us continue to seek our Heavenly Father In Humility and Humbleness. Make our supplications known to Him. Wait upon Him and be established.
