Tick Tok Tick Tok, says the clock… As the times moves on from seconds to minutes, minutes to hours, hours to days, days to years, years to decades, so on… Except the Creator, all created things in this universe change, nothing is constant. As every second passes, the present gets transformed to past.
As I started writing this blog, I was seated in the Church for the last midnight service of this year 2019. Another few minutes to pass and will be entering a new year 2020 and this also marks the start of a new decade.
As I look back and recall the year and the decade that has past, hundreds of thoughts and memories pass by. Have lost many of the Loved ones at the same time have see new life being born. Have seen up’s and down’s, had moments of fights and abundant blessings of peace, have cried and laughed. But in midist of all this, it was the Grace and mercy of my heavenly Father that have sustained me and my family.
But now, as I look at the future, my heart grows cold and fear doubts cross my mind. In these most uneven, uncertain and fast times in mankind’s history, how will we as family survive, questions the mind and heart. My heart worries for all our young generation, for our children’s. These are the last days before the coming of Christ. We have social, political, economical unrest everywhere and the Bible clearly speeks of these last and tereble days. How will our children survive, Will they stand faithful to the Lord till the end…?
But hear how the Bible encourages, Psalm 121 “I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore”.
God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:8. It’s by His faithfulness we live. There is no greater Joy and peace to know that our heavenly Father takes care of us, He protects us, and He provides for us. No matter what times are, good times or bad times, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His mercies are from everlasting to everlasting. He is the Alfa and Omega, The first and the last, the beginning and the end. We need not worry of ourself or our children, for our Heavenly Father knows each one of us by names, yet unformed in our mothers womb, He knew us (psalm 139). He not only takes care of our physical needs but also our spiritual. He prepared the way for us into His Kingdom through Jesus Christ.
Resolution for the Year and decades to come: Consider the below few points which I would like to highlight for our daily living for the rest of our days of the year and decades to come…..
- Be strongly rooted in the word of God, the Bible. Read it, Meditate on it and Live by it. There is no alternative for the word of God.
- Develop and have a one-to-one relationship with Jesus Christ every day. Every moment convers with Him. Share your fears, your Joy, your thanks, etc. The Bible makes it clear that there is NO other mediator between God and Man except Jesus Christ. No pastor or Church can be a mediator for you.
- Teach yourself and your children to continuously search the scriptures and see what it has to say about a situation and act accordingly. Trust me, the Bible has all the answers provided you know how to find with the help of Holy Sprit.
- Great days of deception are ahead of us. So be vigilant not to be carried away by miracles, wonders or any new doctrines. The only way to get out of deception and not be deceived is by moving closer to Christ and His words.
- Make sure to run to God and seek Him continuously. Good times or bad times, take it to the Lord in Prayer. Teach yourself and your children to depend on the Lord, and not on their on intelligence, riches, works etc.
- Don’t be too religious. Jesus did not come to us to establish a religion. But have a zeal for your Lord.
- Continuously seek the lord and be transformed In the likeness of Christ.
- In the end days, the Love of many will grow cold, says the Bible. So please make a genuine effort to hold on your love to the Lord and towards your family, neighbors etc. God our Father and the entire scriptures is about LOVE. In the absence of love, everything in time will cease to exist, none of us would exist.
